Your personal data - what is it?

Personal data concerns a living person who can be identified from this data. The identification can be done by the information alone or in conjunction with any other information in the possession of the controller or likely to be. The processing of personal data is governed by the general data protection regulations (the "GDPR").

 

Data controller

AVEC International is the data controller (contact details below). This means that it decides how your personal data is processed and for what purposes.

How do we process your personal data?

AVECInternational complies with its obligations under the "GDPR" by updating personal data; by storing and destroying it securely; by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data; by protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access and disclosure and ensuring that appropriate technical measures are in place to protect personal data.

 

We use your personal data for the following purposes: 

  • To allow us to provide a voluntary service for the benefit of the public in a particular geographic area as specified in our statutes;

  • administer membership files;

  • Raise funds and promote the interests of the association;

  • Manage our staff and our volunteers;

  • Maintain our own accounts and records (including processing donations)

  • To inform you of news, events, activities and services taking place at the church

 

What is the legal basis for the processing of your personal data?

  • Explicit consent of the data subject so that we can keep you informed of news, events, activities and services and keep you informed of association events.

  • Processing is necessary for the fulfillment of legal donation obligations or under the law on employment, social security or social protection, or a collective agreements;

  • The processing is carried out by a non-profit organization for political, philosophical, religious or trade union purposes provided that:

    1. the processing only concerns members or former members (or those who have regular contact with him within the framework of these objectives); and

Sharing your personal data

Your personal data will be treated as strictly confidential and will not be shared with other church members in order to provide service to other church members or for church related purposes. We will only share your data with third parties outside the association with your consent.

How long do we keep your personal data?

More specifically, we keep data relating to participants and former participants while they are still up to date. Information on donations and related documents up to 10 years after the calendar year to which they relate.

 

Your rights and personal data

Unless you benefit from an exemption under the GDPR, you have the following rights with regard to your personal data:

  1. The right to request a copy of the personal data that AVEC International holds about you;

  2. The right to request that AVEC International correct any personal data if it turns out to be inaccurate or outdated;

  3. The right to request your personal data is deleted when it is no longer necessary for the AVEC International to keep this data;

  4. The right to withdraw your consent to processing at any time

  5. The right to request that the controller provide the data subject with his personal data and, as far as possible, to transmit them directly to another controller, (if applicable). when the processing is based on consent or is necessary for the performance of a contract with the data subject and in both cases, the controller processes the data by automated means].

  6. The right, in the event of a dispute relating to the accuracy or processing of your personal data, to request a restriction on further processing;

  7. The right to object to the processing of personal data (if applicable) [only applies when the processing is based on legitimate interests (or the performance of a task in the public interest / the exercise of public authority); direct marketing and processing for scientific and historical research and statistics]

  8. The right to file a complaint with the National Commission for Information Technology and Liberties (CNIL).

 

Further processing

If we wish to use your personal data for a new purpose, not covered by this data protection notice, we will provide you with a new notice explaining this new use before starting the processing and stating the relevant purposes and conditions of processing. Where and if necessary, we will ask for your prior consent to the new processing.
